En este especial vamos a hablar de los niños de la calle.
Los niños de la calle son niños que viven o pasan la mayor parte del tiempo en la calle por diversas razones. Estos niños sufren de violacion de la mayoría de sus derechos. Se podría decir que el principal problema de estos niños es la falta de afecto que reciben.
Hay dos tipos de niños de la calle. Los niños de la calle, y los niños en las calles
los niños de la calle, son los que duermen en ella y pasar todo el día pidiendo limosna, lavando carros o haciendo cualquier otro trabajo que puedan encontrar. Estos niños están generalmente solos, y no tienen un hogar para vivir y esto los hace más vulnerables a este peligro.

Los niños en la calle son aquellos que no viven en la calle, pero que pasan la mayor parte del tiempo en ella. Estos niños piden dinero o venden productos a todo tipo de carros que se detienen en el semáforo. Por la noche regresan a sus hogares.

hola, bueno, yo les voy a contar un poco sobre la pobreza en Colombia y en el mundo
En Colombia el 44% de los niños se encuentran en buen estado económico.
41% de los niños, eso es 7,5 millones, viven en la pobreza.
El 15%, que es de 3 millones viven en extrema pobreza, como los niños en las calle.
F: En el mundo el 15% de los niños que viven en la calle son menores de 8 años de edad, el 50% tienen entre 8 a 14 años y 35% entre 15 y 18. la edad promedio es de 9 años.
Usted, cree que en la calle existen mas niños que niñas?

17% de los niños de la calle son niñas, ya que pueden utilizar el trabajo doméstico o la prostitución. Mientras que el 83% son niños, esto es debido a que son más capaces de sobrevivir en las calles.
60% de los niños en la calle están ahí porque no tenían elección, esto significa que han sido abandonados por sus padres o huérfanos. Mientras que el 40% están ahí voluntariamente, ya que han abandonado sus hogares pensando que hay una vida mejor en las calles.

Felipe, nos podrías contar cuales son los efectos que estos pequeños tienen en nuestra sociedad?
Hola.
Algo que considero importante es decirles cual es el efecto que tienen estos pequeños en la sociedad, porque muchos de nosotros vemos a los niños de la calle como un estorbo, creemos que están hay sin ningún propósito en particular. Pero los niños de la calle afectan nuestra sociedad de muchas maneras. Por ejemplo: la inseguridad, ya que la mayoría de los niños que viven en las calles se dedican a pequeños hurtos para poder vivir, es decir son delincuentes. Esto aumenta significativamente la seguridad de nuestra ciudad.
Los niños de la calle también influyen en el narco-tráfico, ya sea consumiendo o vendiendo droga. Todo es un ciclo, si se consume más, se produce más. De esta manera el narco-trafico crece, y con el se vuelven esclavos del vicio.
Bueno, gracias por todo, pero antes de que te vallas me parece importante que nos cuentes cual es nuestra responsabilidad como ciudadanos, me gustaría preguntarle a una persona del publico, cual cree usted que es nuestra responsabilidad como ciudadanos?

F: Nosotros, como los ciudadanos deberían tomar la iniciativa para crear lugares de refugio para estos niños, y así ellos no tienen que sufrir los peligros de la calle
la forma de ayudar no darles dinero a los niños, sino a las entidades que ayudan con este problema, no necesariamente lo que no necesitemos, pero compartir un poco de lo nuestro con estos niños que no tienen nada.

Ahora vamos a llamar a Federico, nuestro primer especialista invitado, que nos va dar un poco mas de información.
Hace más de 30 años el problema de los niños de la calle no era un problema importante para la sociedad. Se creía que los sacerdotes y monjas eran los que debian asumir la responsabilidad sobre ellos.
f: hoy hay más responsabilidad social. La gente está más informada sobre el asunto. Ya no es la responsabilidad del gobierno o la religión, sino de todos los colombianos.
Las entidades que ayudan a los niños desplazados se han ido ampliando. Sin embargo esto no es suficiente, es necesario crear más conciencia en nuestra sociedad. Todos tenemos que poner nuestro grano de arena. Todo el mundo puede aportar algo. Queremos contarles sobre las 2 campañas que hicimos.
La primera fue un JEANS DÍA. Donde cada niño aportó $2000 , fueron exactamente 327 niños los que ayudaron con esta causa. El dinero recaudado fue destinado a una fundación que lleva los niños de la calle y los rehabilita. Pensamos que era importante relacionarnos con los niños, pues es muy diferente hablar sobre los niños de la calle, a hablar con ellos, saber qué es lo que piensan. Así que pasamos un dia en la fundación ya mencionada, hicimos actividades lúdicas recreativas con ellos. Y la verdad es que pasamos un día muy divertido, jugamos reímos y olvidamos nuestras diferencias!
La otra campaña esta a su derecha, sí, esta caja que ustedes ven ahí es para que aporten la cantidad que quieran de dinero. Al final de la última presentación abriremos la caja, y con el dinero recaudado compraremos juegos para estos pobres niños que no tienen nada, nisiquiera el amor de sus padres.

In this special we will be talking about street children.
l: Street children are children who are destined to live on the street for various reasons. These children suffer from violations of most of their rights. Many of these little kids are living in acute poverty. The main problem of these children is the lack of affection they receive.
There are two types of street children. The children of the streets, and the children in the streets
the children of the street, are those who are sleeping in the streets and spend all day begging, washing cars or doing any other job they can find. These children are often alone, and do not have a home to live in. This makes them more vulnerable to danger and often more aggressive.
and what about the children in the streets?
Children in the street are those not living on the street, but who spend most of their time on it. These children are asking for money or selling all kind of products to cars that stop at the traffic lights. At night they return to their homes.

hello, well im going to tell you a little bit about the poverty in Colombia and in the world
In Colombia 44% of children live well or with the basic needs.
41% of children, that’s 7.5 million, live in poverty.
and 15%,which is 3 million, live in acute poverty, like the children in the streets.
you, yes you, do you think that there are more girls than boys in the streets? (la persona del publico responde)
Actualy the 17% of street children are girls, because they can do domestic work or prostitution. While 83% are boys, this is because they are better able to survive on the streets.
In the world 15% of the kids who live in the street are younger than 8 years old, 50% are between 8 to 14 years and 35% between 15 and 18. the average age is 9 years.
60% of children in the street are there because they had no choice, this means that they have been abandoned by their parents or orphaned. While 40% are there voluntarily, because they have left their homes thinking that there's a better life on the streets.

Something I find important is telling you what effects street children have on society. Many of us look at street children as a nuisance. We believe that they are there for no particular purpose, but Street children affect our society in many ways. For example:
Insecurity, since the majority of children living on the streets engaged in theft in order to live, so they become criminals. This significantly increases the insecurity of our city.
Street children also influence drug trafficking, either by selling or consuming drugs. Everything is a cycle, if you consume more, produce more. In this way the drug traffic grows, and with the makes them slaves of vice.
well, thank you for everything, but I think is important to tell you what is our responsibility as citizens, but let´s ask somebody of the audience: hey you! what do you think is our responsibility as citizens?

actualy we should take the initiative to create foundations for these children who are or where in the streets, so that they do not suffer the dangers. The best way of helping them is not giving them money, but to the foundations, not necessarily what we don’t want, but share a little bit of what we have with these children.

Thanks laura, well More than 30 years ago the problem of street children was not a major problem for society. It was believed that the priests and nuns were the ones who should take responsibility for them.
Today there are more social responsibility. People are more informed about the matter. It is no longer the responsibility of government or religion, but of all Colombians.
The entities that help displaced children have been expanded, however this is not enough, need to create more awareness in our society, we all have to put our grain of sand.
Everyone can contribute with something. We want to tell you about the 2 campaigns we are doing.
The first was a JEANS DAY. Exactly 327 kids in school help with $2000. We went to Bosconia Marcelino and gave the money to the kids. The other action we did was going this place we just mention, We passed an afternoon with them, doing fun activities, and getting in contact with them. Because is different talking about street children, to be with them, talk to them, know how they feel. At the end we had a great time together!
The second one is at your left. Yes, that box you see there is for you to put any amount of money you like to. at the end of our last presentation We will open the box, and the money collected will be used to buy some games for this kids that don’t have nothing, not even the love of their parents.
